"Much space at the terrasse - and also inside. Perfekt for three people. We had a wonderful evening watching the Aurora!"

"Everything was perfect! The cottage was clean and well equipped (oven, stove, pans, microwave, coffee machine, cattle and nice and warm shower). The terrace was nice with the Mountain View. If I knew how amazing the place was, I’d stay more than a night"

"The house is located in a quiet area with a beautiful view. Equipped with everything what you need. The contact with the host was very good. A few days before the trip, we received detailed information on how to get there.Highly recommended 🙌"

"Perfect quiet spot to enjoy the clear skies and look out for northern lights. The discount at the local hot baths was great and they were well worth the visit."

"Sadly when we arrived at the property the cottage we were supposed to stay in was already occupied. A replacement was found which was fine but looked more dated than the original one. Didn’t see inside both so not possible to fully compare."

"The cottage is in an isolated area but really close to Laugarvatn where you can get everything you need. It’s really close to Kerid Crater for a “before” the coaches explore. It’s really easy to explore the Golden circle and easy to find. The shower was hot. The kitchen had all the utensils you need with a large fridge. The hot tub was hot and a welcome treat on a cold night."

"The cottage is ideal for 2 people. By having a third we lost the couch so our sitting options were the dining room table or the sleeper couch. The main bed is up a small flight of stairs on a mezzanine level- not ideal for the tall. But very comfy."

"The house was meticulous in its decor and very well taken cared off. The owner was a very nice person and dropped by at 1.30am at night to ensure my family were ok and assured us of the integrity of the house when earthquake struck during our stay."

"Harpa was a fantastic host, we asked for a snow shovel to clear the snow and a lovely friend of hers dropped it off the next day. The house was always warm and the bed was more comfortable than ours back home with fantastic quality goose feather duvets. Loved the radiator near the boot rack so your boots were dry and warm in the morning. Top tip for the hot tub. The geo thermal water is very got but we just filled it and left it for a few hours and the temperature was perfect"

"This place was absolutely amazing. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and we are so incredibly happy we chose it. It easily became one of our favourite places we’ve ever stayed — we only wish we could have stayed longer. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We did need to download WhatsApp to open the gate since we didn’t have Icelandic mobile numbers, but once that was sorted everything was seamless. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into the space — there were extra towels, lanterns, and so many thoughtful touches that made it feel comfortable and special. Overall though, this place was incredible and we would absolutely stay again. It was such a special spot for our honeymoon."
