"My friends and I ended up having an impromptu stay at Elín’s house due to road closures, and it turned out to be a truly lovely experience. It’s only a shame we couldn’t stay longer. The house was cosy and spotless, with all the appliances we needed—the coffee machine was especially appreciated. Despite the freezing weather outside, the place was warm and the duvet wonderfully comfortable. I also loved reading through her personalised guidebook, which was filled with interesting and genuinely helpful recommendations. Elín was a responsive and thoughtful host who made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell that a lot of care and attention to detail goes into her hosting. I would highly recommend this place to anyone."

"Feel at home . Spacious. Comfortable. Fast and almost immediate response from owner"

"Love every bit"

"Good location, very close to Hofn. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped. If you are not too tired and have a few minutes to spare, I recommend you read "The Story of the House" (it had no title, so the name is not real). The owner was more than dedicated when she shared details about both the history of the house and the family, but also small details about Icelandic life. Haukaberg House is one of the places where we would return with the greatest pleasure."
