"Great helpful staff, freshly cleaned room. I arrived earlier than planned and they quickly swept and mopped the room and made up my bed while I waited. Super central location. Showers were hot. Got given a roll of toilet paper on check in which seems like a great solution to previous negative reviews saying toilet paper ran out and wasn't topped up. Great value for money"

There was no common area to hang out in like a lounge or courtyard or kitchen, but even still I made new friends just in my dorm room, in the corridor and in the bathroom while brushing my teeth. Probably not ideal for light sleepers as there is a karaoke bar nearby but I really enjoyed being able to hear all the singing!

"Great place to stay in Noukchott. The place itself is beautiful, and in a nice neighbourhood within walking distance to anything you'd want to see. The bungalows are cosy and comfortable. Great hot showers and good buffet breakfast. Contrary to some other uncharitable reviews, I found the young guys working there to be helpful and pleasant. Sebastien the owner gives great travel advice. 10/10, would repeat!"

"I had seen some of the reviews and I was a little worried going in as I have stayed in other hostels by the same company in different locations and they weren't- great. But I was so pleasantly surprised. Friendly and helpful staff, no bugs, clean room, not noisy. I was only staying there for one night but I was so happy, the bed was super comfy (and i was really lucky as nobody else had booked in my room!) Facilities worked great and it was close enough to the German border that I literally walked across!"

There was no soap in the bathroom but I'd seen other reviews saying that so I brought my own 🤷‍♀️ Bit of a trek from the city centre but honestly it was no bother.

"Location, price, staff. The location is perfect - it is city center and moreover, located in old city of Baku. Easy access to the museums and downtown. Staff is helpful, can advice in any matter. Metro station is very close."

"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.

"Doba and his family were exceptionally welcoming, outgoing, and fun. We spent three nights at chez doba, and went on two hikes each day, to different waterfalls, viewpoints, and villages. In the evening we played football with the children and drank beer and tea with the locals. Special shoutout to Amadou, our guide for our stay - a great guy! Highly highly highly recommend Campement Chez Doba to anyone visiting Senegal, its been the highlight of our trip. We also booked onto an extra trip with Doba to tour a nearby bedik village, which was very picturesque! Doba Tours also offers other tours around Senegal, including Dakar and Niocolo Koba National Park, which we didnt use, but heard good things from other guests. The food was good and the bedrooms were clean and comfortable!"

"MyFarm is not just a place to sleep. It is a vibrant place full of life. You wake up from the sound of beautiful birds in the morning, you can join the MyFarm team for breakfast and talk about their daily life here. All the staff is super nice and accommodating. It's amazing to be inside such a wonderful place that gives out free education to the people who live around here. I ended up helping out in the different educational programs and I loved every moment of it. I thought I just went for a cheap place to stay that was also social, but I got so much more. I will definitely come back as a volunteer to the project."

"أعطيت الهوستل 5 نجوم و هو يستحق ذلك. الهوستل نظيف جدًا و العاملون به ودودون للغاية . يقع في اهم شوارع العاصمة اندورا لا فيلا و حوله كثير من المواقع المهمة و المطاعم . ان كنت لوحدك فهذا الهوستل اكثر ملائمة لك . شكرا للموظف خوان و بقية العاملين في السكن. سأعود مجددا"

"We had a wonderful stay. It's a good way to get to know the Uzbek culture, far away from the touristy areas. It's run by a family. Nigina and her girls cooked amazing fresh food every day. Best food we had in whole Uzbekistan especially the Plov, even the guides who stayed there it's one of the best they ever had. Raxmat is an amazing host he helped us with thing from the beginning till the end, with transportation or also with hike tours. The place is good for every type of travellers, there were also some families, solo female travelers etc. For us, we stayed 3 nights, it was nice to disconnect (they have wifi) but we never used it. There is plenty of things to do like hiking etc. We will miss this wonderful place. Thank you again Raxmat and Nigina!"
