"My stay here was really a great experience. James is a brilliant host and cooked me a totally delicious meal with many local ingredients. On his recommendation I went to the fromagerie the next morning, met the goats, and bought cheese to give to my friends. The room was spotless and decorated in a gorgeous wallpaper and the bed was super comfy. Best of all I really enjoyed chatting with James about all sorts, but including hearing his enthusiasm for a project he is working on. Good Luck in the future James!"

"The host was very friendly and made tons of arrangements for us. He picked us up from the train station, drove us to the grand canyon, and also drove us to the caves. He made a delicious Chinese breakfast that was included and we also paid extra to eat dinner there as well. The hotel is nice and quiet and pretty close to the Grand Canyon - though you will probably still need to drive there."

The room was a little cold in the winter.

"Really lovely guest farm, wish we wished we'd booked to stay longer at and we will return to, as we enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and the food at breakfast and dinner was very good with lovely views over the garden and mountains beyond. Breakfast is all buffet there is a good choice of hot and cold options. We loved the meerkat experience and its a must for anyone interested in these lovely creatures. We enjoyed a day hike at the Swartberg pass and would love to return to this area. Hair raising drive up to the top of the pass but worth it as was the hike. There is lots still for us to do and discover in the little Karoo."

"Such a beautiful place! Perfect to relax the spirit. We enjoyed our stay amidst the beautiful palm trees, at night the sky is like a blanket of stars. The food was excellent, real Egyptian. Higly recommend doing tours with Ahmed: he has a passion for his region and is very understanding of guests needs."
