"Michael and Juliette could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Really helpful with advice about the local area. We had three evening meals in their quaint restaurant below the apartment and really enjoyed them and the local wines. The building itself is very old and is located in the medieval centre of Murat. This is fascinting to wander round with lots of quirky streets. At the back of the village is a very steep volcanic outcrop with a statue on top which makes a dramatic backdrop. We caught the annual cornet festival which was on Sept 22 (don't know if it is that date every year). Biscuits are folded into cornet shapes and filled with loads of different fillings sold from stalls through the town. There were bands and dancing - a lively event enjoyed by locals and tourists. Recommended."

"Very nice property with very pleasant hosts. Room is on the edge of town but easily walkable and there is a supermarket very nearby. We were grateful that we could check in early - as we had to arrive late morning, thinking to leave luggage - this was bonus and really helped us utilize our first day. We were able to make some nice walks in some quite pretty countryside. Although we were late for the majority of lavender fields, as the heat had forced an early harvest, the festival in Valensole was a highlight. Thanks very much."
