"This hotel is absolutely beautiful. They have clearly put time, effort, and resources into its construction and decoration, and it was absolutely wonderful to stay in such a gorgeous place and see the carefully-selected, locally-crafted decor. It was a genuine pleasure to be in the rooms, walk around the property, and be in all the common areas. The owners are kind and communicative, and they are great cooks to boot! (The food was solidly fine - we had 2 breakfasts and a dinner there.) The room was large, comfortable, and well decorated, and had a lovely little porch area to sit and watch the desert - and a helpful drying rack for wet clothes. The staff are very nice, friendly, and helpful. There is free drinking water; and the staff will make you a lovely hibiscus tea. This hotel is also eco-friendly - they seemed to limit the use of plastic as much as possible, which I hugely appreciated. I greatly enjoyed my stay, and really do recommend this hotel!"

"There were a couple of things that could have been better. We went during October, when it is still hot in Siwa. They tried to construct the rooms to have some air flow through the windows, but unfortunately, it is not enough. There is no fan in the rooms. Without a fan in the rooms, we lay awake sweating for hours until the desert air finally cooled down enough (around 2 am) to sleep. The hotel does not have air conditioning as it runs on solar power, which is amazing! But solar power should be enough for fans. The comfort of the rooms would be GREATLY improved with the addition of even one fan. The biggest disappointment was the pool - Talist Hotel advertises that it has a swimming pool, but unfortunately, it is not serviceable - we were advised by the staff not to use it. It is dirty, dark black, murky, unclean. It would have made our stay SO much nicer if we were actually able to use the pool that they advertised, but it is not useable. Until the pool is cleaned and serviced, they should remove it from their booking.com listing, as guests will book this hotel and pay the price for this hotel expecting to be able to use the pool."

"This is the most stunning place we have ever stayed at! The location is wonderful, the food is fairly priced and really amazing and the owners are the most loving people ever. The family took care of everything and we felt right at home. The property is huge and you have a lot of cute areas to chill and relax. We recommend staying here for at least a few days to fully enjoy your stay. You can charge your electronics in the common areas and if you have a local sim, you will have mobile data in some places. Bring some mosquito repellent with you and you'll enjoy this heavenly place for sure! Still not over how amazing this was!! We will be back for sure!"

"Incredibile struttura immersa nella natura, camera basic ma molto tipica e accogliente. La colazione inclusa era ottima, gradevole e abbondante. Lo staff disponibile e cordiale. L'ultimo giorno ci hanno permesso di posticipare il check out così da rimanere in struttura attendendo il nostro bus. La sera hai la possibilità di osservare un cielo meraviglioso grazie all'assenza di luci artificiali nei paraggi. La struttura inoltre accoglie diversi animaletti affettuosi."

"Great facilities and atmosphere to relax with amazingly wonderful rock mountain and lake view. Friendly staffs and cute dogs :) Delicious breakfast. Even though there are some restrictions on using of water and electricity like other ecolodges, but you can effortlessly accept this as a part of Siwa life 😀"
