That Booking.com is proposing a property which is not available before April 2026. By doing so, I could have ended up on the island of Bequia on a Sunday night with nowhere to sleep.

Conveniently located walking distance from the port, but still in quiet and private location. We felt straight at home. The hosts gave us great tips for the island and even booked our St Valentine restaurant for us."

"The view was great, the apartment was spotlessly clean, well-furnished, very comfortable. Everything was well organised, from Forrest's taxi services, checking in with Jovienne at the apartment, delightful Red who kept it clean & tidy. It's a bit out of town which was fine as less busy and we could walk to the Botanical Gardens and down into town easily enough. There's a local store selling most things just 5 mins away which was a real bonus once we had found it. It was also very safe and secure which is comforting when you are not sure of an area to start with."

The apartments are in a residential area and up the hill so we could hear dogs and roosters from everywhere. I didn't mind it, it's part of the rich tapestry of life there, but some folk might find it a bit noisy to start with. It would be helpful to have a bit more kitchen equipment, for example, a bread board or chopping board, washing up bowl, a few small dishes perhaps...
