"Paolo is a wonderful host. He's warm and kind. He immediately offered us coffee when we arrived. We felt right at home. The house was clean enough. We also had a nice breakfast. I highly recommend it."

"I arrived late and the taxi driver was unsure of the location. However the owner ( manager) came out to meet us and showed me the cabin, there was a language barrier as I don’t speak French, however with the help of google translate this was overcome. The breakfast was good and plentiful with egg, dates, yoghurt and bread with a juice and coffee. The owner was very helpful despite the language, the cabins are functional and good fun and first thing I walked (30 seconds) to the beautiful beach at sunrise!"

Luckily there was some parking available on the street, otherwise we might have a problem. No dedicated parking for the hotel.

"It’s family owned and they were all so lovely and welcoming! Gjirokastër is very “hilly” so the roads were tough but they even offered to drop us off into town/pick us up. Very accommodating to our needs and there when we needed anything. Also, the breakfast was a whole spread with an amazing view of the castle and the mountains; it was so refreshing to eat to such a peaceful view. 10/10."

As a grown up solo traveller, who is oftentimes ready to accept challenging environments, I cannot make any critical remarks. Right now due to the russian full scale invasion, hospitality businesses all over Ukraine are struggling for survival, which makes critical remarks even more misplaced. The bottom line is – I liked the property.

"Clean and modern and with a small kitchen for cooking. Nice garden and a great playground for kids. Parking is good. 10 minutes walk to the town and restaurants."

"Our room faced the water. Great view. The room is spacious and comfortable. We stayed in a room before we rented the full house with a group of friends. Despite it being 5 rooms, sharing one bathroom, it never felt crowded. Good value for an otherwise expensive travel destination. The bus stop is right by the house and there was always available public parking."
