"We loved the uniqueness of this hotel built on a rock! It was easy to communicate with the hotel about our arrival plans. We had a lovely room with extremely comfortable bed (and a fridge in the room too). At the top of the hotel is a lovely terrace where we ate our typical Omani cuisine served for dinner and breakfast. Highly recommended if you enjoy staying in places that are a little 'different' and special!"

"The location of the House is visually stunning and in the centre of the old town. There are well know trails people just visit for that start at its base. The view from the top floor accommodation balcony were stunning and there was was also a communal terrace as well as the higher terrace that was where food was eaten and a cafe catered for other tourists (hikers and those shopping for honey and homemade goods) and guests staying in the House. It was clean, the staff were engaging and the room/bed was comfortable but sparse - more so than the images shared on booking.com. The bathroom was very basic and effectively a wet room (which got very wet) but was pleasant and clean."

"Not sure if our was working properly but we lacked warm water and low pressure. Parking appears difficult but if you drive to the end of the road (and you arrive early enough) there are places on the street near the House you can park the car up. You have to risk a narrow single track which seems daunting but is actually ok - if you don’t meet a car coming the other way over a 50m stretch."

"The hotel is very unique and beautiful, on top of a big rock. The entrance is through a hole in the rock. The rooftop terrace is beautifully decorated and seems to be one of the highest terraces in the town. Sunrise is amazing from the rooftop. Everyone was super nice as well. We would definitely stay here again."

"Quirky traditional style, tasty homecooked food. Amazing entrance through a narrow cleft in the rocks (another entrance available). Helpful staff winched our luggage down in a cage on check out. Beautiful setting in the village."

"A very beautiful and magical place to stay in Misfah, the staff was very nice and helpful, wonderful view from the terrace. Of course, since it is a very old house, the comfort is a bit limited and the rooms are sort of gloomy but I still recommend this place"
