"The staff were all lovely. There was a very good choice of food, both local and international. I was there for two weeks, and it didn't look as if they served the same thing twice. The room was very comfortable and cleaned daily. I think going all inclusive was the best idea, though during happy hour the cocktails were very reasonably priced. The house wine wasn't fantastic, but they had other bottles on sale that weren't too expensive."

"I wasn't mad about the shower room, it was outside, and while it's nice to shower and look up at the trees, it was very humid, so you couldn't really dry yourself properly. I suppose I should have gone into the air conditioned bedroom. The seaplane to get there was very expensive, almost as much as I paid to get there from Athens."

"We stayed in a lodge on the beach, so wonderful to wake up with the view of the sea. We could snorkel directly from our lodge, the marine life is amazing. The best snorkelling ever. So relaxing, good food and friendly staff."

"The pool table was charged at $2.99 per game (I dont play pool, it was an observation) and bottled water was only one per room. Extra water charged at $5.00, Water was also charged at the dining table. I think water should be included and this resort is charging a premium rate to stay. Same for the pool table, only a small charge, but really should be included in the price of around $500.00 per day"

"The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed)."

"The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service."

"The snorkeling was the best we've ever done. I don't expect to have another experience like this again. Filitheyo has no motor boats or jet skis which means the fish are not startled and has incredible coral surrounding the island meaning for incredible snorkeling experience. We had a water villa for 10 days and so happy we did. Countless variety of fish constantly swimming about including dolphins. Meals were great from the main restaurant, lots of variety. Main bar was a great place to go prior to dinner. Outside of snorkeling our favourite place was the sunset bar and pool. Big thank you to Viraj, Faruk, Raj, Rubeun for amazing service, kindness and a welcoming friendly attitude to everyone who entered the Sunset Bar. Thank you to Kasheem who took care of our villa and Dain who multitasks front desk and our snorkeling guide. All staff were always willing to help. Recommend the BBQ. Even though we were all inclusive the BBQ was well worth the extra cost."

"It's our 4th time here, and for the first time, our waiter was not friendly at all. We don't care about 5 star service, but a smile once in a blue moon would be nice. We really come here because the house reef is fantastic, but unfortunately, bleaching has been degrading it over the years, and is quite noticeable from our first visit here. Bleaching is not the fault of Filitheyo resort, HOWEVER, damage from tourists is also contributing to this. I was shocked to see a woman literally doing WATER EXERCISES (high knee jogging, stepping down onto the coral reef floor!) in the middle of the reef (there is a sandy lagoon section she could have used!!) And frequent standing in the middle of the reef by other inexperienced snorkelers while they adjust masks etc.. Disappointing that there is not more education re: care for the coral reef; it's the primary reason we come here, and we may end up trying a different location next time due to its decline."
