"We enjoyed our stay, the location was absolutely great with the restaurant and a café just next door ! It was the best cofee and food we had in Sri Lanka ! Shehan (hope i spelled that correctly) was lovely and very efficient, he always tried to make our stay better."

"The rooms for the price seemed a bit steep. The rooms are rudimentary but still comfortable. The only thing really was the incessant music in the restaurant."

"Great place on the beach, close to everything, each room with hamac, see view was great. I would recommend to everyone that wants to experience the real Arugam Bay, except for family with small kids due to the noise of the events at the hotel and around in the evening"

"Location was excellent - tight across from the beach. Hotel staff and coffee shop and restaurant were very good, as was the food. Michael was very helpful with safari."

"It was all good - a couple of minor things I would have asked about if I was staying longer. I would go for an aircon room with bed netting and fridge next time if there for more days."

"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."
