"Local to town and center.15 minutes by walk through nice area.Clean,very comfortable,little Paradise with beautiful balcony with view in the green lush garden.Nice little kitchen!!You can easily do your coffee in the morning ,breakfast!! Every little detail the owner considers...We can highly recommend!! Good communication with the owner! We will come back!We enjoyed the beautiful ,nice quiet and relaxing environment!! Thank you!!"

"We spent 2 nights at Methdunu and enjoyed the peace and privacy of the location, only 10min walking from the beach and 15min from the centre of Hikkaduwa. The room comes with fan, mosquito net, a gas kitchen with dishes and refrigerator, a beautiful balcony."

"Kitchen is strangely located close to neighbors' kitchen without proper walls isolation, so you can hear everything very well from their kitchen. Room is not as big as it looked on the photos - enough space just for 1 person longstay. Hikkaduwa beach, sadly, is not a walkable beach, huge waves in some places cover whole beach grounds..."

"Schöner Balkon! Ruhige Lage, trotzdem braucht man nur 15 Minuten zu Fuß zur Hauptstrasse. Wlan hat sehr gut funktioniert. Gastgeber*in freundlich, spricht kaum Englisch aber war trotzdem hilfsbereit."

"Hikkaduwa non è il massimo, molto caotica e i locali principali sono tutti lungo la strada principale che costeggia il mare. Però Methdunu è una piccola oasi lontana dal rumore e dal traffico. Noi l'abbiamo amata, economica, pulita, anche con un piccolo cucinino, la terrazza e l'acqua calda."

"Очень гостеприимные хозяева, мы добирались в темноте, нас ждали на улице что бы мы легче нашли путь В номере кухня с посудой и газовой плитой. В душевой бойлер, горячая вода. И отдельно душ с водой которая сама нагревается на солнце. Горячей водой в такую жару особо пользоваться и не хотелось. У нас был номер на втором этаже с большим балконом, на балконе стол, стулья, кресло и сушилка для белья. Вокруг банановые заросли создающие тень. Дом находится подальше от жд путей поэтому проходящие поезда мы почти не слышали."

"We had such a good, memorable time here. Taken very well care of by Manju (the owner), we enjoyed a very comfortable stay in the wild, off the beaten track, with beautiful nature all around us. The food was delicious and filling, vegetarian and vegan diets catered for completely. They lit us a fire one night and we enjoyed dinners by candlelight every night. The beds were super comfy and the large hut that we stayed in was very spacious - good for all bags and clothes. Manju organised our safari day and our trip to a local beach. He was ready to meet our every need and was very kind and friendly with our children too."
