"Interesting concept Lovely staff. Cleanliness. Good breakfast buffet (even the bread rolls were tasty and that is rare in Germany)."

The pillow is square, large and uncomfortable. I got a pain in the neck because of it. The coffee in the breakfast buffet was so bad it was undrinkable.

"It's on the beach, right as you want it to be at a place like Turks. The atmosphere is, in general, very cozy, and the overall premises work well. It gives out a relaxed mood and the sea in front of the hotel is superb. They actually provide ice free of charge, which eventually proved to be very helpful. The room was quite good and spacious. They are, though, a bit old, but they still provide a good stay, and everything worked as expected."

The service at the restaurant is quite slow. Some technical stuff in the rooms can be improved, such as the shower and the sockets.

The staff is very friendly and also gives tips for sightseeing tours. Breakfast is also available around noon. The quality-price relation is very good for this hotel. "- Great location, just a short 10 minute walk to Port Hercule. Also located next to a underpass with travellators which leads you to and from Monaco train station which is perfect. - 10 minute walk to a big underground supermarket - Friendly staff - Room fine, had everything needed - Breakfast fine. Prices are very high, but the normal for French Guyana. Kourou is not a city for pedestrians. So, there is no good location - everything is far for a walk. By car, it is really close to the space center.

"I stayed nearly 2 weeks in Don Andres while attending a language school in Sosua. The location was perfect, only few mins walking from beaches Casa Marina and Alicia. The apartment was spacious and very quiet. I also enjoyed chilling by the pool and having a coffee at the adjacent restaurant. Henrik was very helpful with accommodating my requests."

No hot shower, which was inconvenient. Noisy installations that affected comfort (water pump, no well isolated for insects) The check-in process was a bit complicated, but since it's a family-run business, we were understanding.

The bathroom was quite dated (plastic shower curtain, rather than a shower screen, for example).

"Every thing, the private check-in/out, a la carte breakfast, cocktails dinner. Staffs were excellent, approachable and helpful. Modern facilities at close proximity to everywhere that we need to go in district 1. Beautiful swimming pool. We used the pool and sauna every day."

The lack of the cleanliness of the pool (because of breakfast nearby, lots of things fly away in it). Drinkable water in the bar was not free (4-star hotel)

The weakest part of the hotel is the restaurant catering for breakfasts and all meals: the place that looks like a canteen, is not welcoming. The prices for food are for too expensive. The food is good quality. Spiritless Hotel as it feels very empty.

The service was excellent, and the staff were very warm and welcoming, especially Allan who made us feel truly cared for. The room was really spacious and clean and breakfast was a great selection. We had asked for help with something very specific which wasn't part of the hotel and the team said to leave it with them and they'd call the room when they had the answer and, they did that!"

"This hotel is at the higher end of the price range but i keep returning as they have an EXCELLENT restaurant and very professional friendly staff. Many of the staff are long term employees and are true hospitality staff. I just hope they are appreciated by Mendana senior management."

The reticulated TV system requires some work as reception is poor and the room lighting is not real good. Also, we stayed in one of the recently refurbished rooms and the maintenance manager should be aware that many of the newly laid floor tiles are "drummy" and will require repairs very soon.

Very small rooms, food options r limited and very expensive, exchange rate at reception is very poor, toiletries in room is very limited, not easy to find a taxi, no mini markets/shops around.

"Simply I can fully trust them. We forgot our backpack in the shuttle bus and moved to San Pedro Island. Hotel staffs were so kind to arrange sending it to San Pedro, and we received it including all valuable goods like mobile phone! Thanks to all involved staff and appreciate their integrity."
