"The hotel itself is modern, and the rooms are impressively large and kept spotless with daily cleaning. A huge shoutout to the staff—they were genuinely helpful and made the stay much better. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety of fresh options to choose from."

There are a few areas that need immediate attention. First, the hot water in the shower never quite reached a comfortable temperature. Second, the Spa hours are misleading; it’s advertised until 8 PM but closed at 6 PM during my stay. Location : it’s in the old part of the city, which is charming by day, but the surrounding streets are quite dark at night.

Great room and fabulous views of the bay. I loved waking up in the morning and watching the boats going up and down the bay.

"I stayed nearly 2 weeks in Don Andres while attending a language school in Sosua. The location was perfect, only few mins walking from beaches Casa Marina and Alicia. The apartment was spacious and very quiet. I also enjoyed chilling by the pool and having a coffee at the adjacent restaurant. Henrik was very helpful with accommodating my requests."

"- Great location, just a short 10 minute walk to Port Hercule. Also located next to a underpass with travellators which leads you to and from Monaco train station which is perfect. - 10 minute walk to a big underground supermarket - Friendly staff - Room fine, had everything needed - Breakfast fine. "Ibis is many times so and so in Europe, but this one was a positive surprise! The very friendly staff and kitchen made a late dinner even we arrived at the closing time of the restaurant! Rooms 'Ibistiny' but clean and good beds!"

Some of the dinner service staff were not particularly professional - demure, inattentive, lacking humour.. Not what you'd expect for such a high class establishment.

"The room and around fit to the explanation and pictures. Breakfast was basic and tasty. We came in October when season is over. The owner cook a dinner for us. It was quite expensive (30 euro par person taking a fish, 15 - with no fish), but tasty. Wine was exceptional. It was better then drive in the dark to the restaurant and back (the road is not easy even during the daylight). Adrian made the welcome. Very nice guy with good English. The owner, Vasko (sorry if a spell the name wrongly) is very nice guy. Able to speak Russian. Show us the winery. The wine is exceptional. Very quite place. The views are stunning."

The only one thing was not OK - in one of the rooms (we took 2) water in the shower drains poorly - floor was full of water.

"We stayed one night at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is elegant and refined, with a great location. They even offered us free access to the spa, which was a lovely surprise. The room was spacious and very clean, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. After a day navigating San Marino’s steep streets and steps, it was especially nice to return to such a cozy and relaxing hotel."

The Spa, the breakfast!

"I really enjoyed my stay here - the hotel is like an oasis of calm in Bissau. Staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful - special thanks to Mariama who very kindly went above and beyond her duties to accompany me to the market so I wasn't alone. Good buffet breakfast, clean swimming pool, lovely gardens, spacious rooms. I felt very safe here as a solo female too."

There was nothing I didn't like.

"Clean hotel in the city center, next to a mini market. Warm room without many amenities but quite spacious bathroom. On the plus side, parking in a public area under the hotel.The view of the restaurant was amazing."

There is not a direct access of the parking to the hotel. The breakfast was poor as there was no hot dishes (scrambled eggs i.e.) and there was the only option of black coffee even the restaurant was servings other coffees the rest of the day.

"I had a great stay at Tulip Hotel. Room 105 was cozy, clean, spacious, and bright. The bed was large and very comfortable, the room was very clean and nice , and everything felt well maintained. I also really liked the stylish and cozy bar area. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtfully done. You can clearly see the creative ideas behind the concept, all focused on making guests feel comfortable. The team work of the staff is impressive. Service is smooth and professional. The food is delicious, breakfasts and lunch were excellent. The spa area is another highlight, especially the hammam and the pool with refreshing ice cold water.Wonderful! Overall, a very comfortable and welcoming hotel that fully deserves a high rating. I would definitely stay here again."

The only downside is the soundproofing. You can hear what is happening in the hallway, especially when guests check in or out or use the shower nearby. The room 105 could benefit from better noise insulation.

"Traditional Alsacian hotel, with many rustic features. Double glazed windows with shutters. Simple tasty breakfast. Quiet within the hotel - we heard nothing from the other guests, of which there were many."

The bathroom was quite dated (plastic shower curtain, rather than a shower screen, for example).

The TV was outdated and I could not connect my phone. For the price I would expect this as I have stayed in $10 Airbnbs which have this option

The service was excellent, and the staff were very warm and welcoming, especially Allan who made us feel truly cared for. Special thanks to Silvia for her wonderful management and for creating such a peaceful quiet and relaxing experience. Bathrooms deffinately need up dating, carpets in the corridors need taking out and tiles flooring put down there’s really nothing around such as shops, places to eat it is deffinately the last stop before the ferry terminal

"Traditional hotel with very relaxed atmosphere. Family owned and staff who were absolutely lovely. Funny, friendly and helpful. Quite quirky with a definite African ambience. Not trying to be too perfect!! Close to the beach in a quiet area. Super pool with stress free feeling as quite shallow and never busy. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and visited regularly by cheeky monkeys."

A lack of written information describing amenities. Mosquitos can be a problem if you normally suffer after being bitten.

Prices are very high, but the normal for French Guyana. Kourou is not a city for pedestrians. So, there is no good location - everything is far for a walk. By car, it is really close to the space center.

"The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms are clean and spacey. The bed is very comfortable and the internet is fast. The staff is very friendly and also gives tips for sightseeing tours. Breakfast is also available around noon. The quality-price relation is very good for this hotel. We would book this hotel immediately again."

There are no negative points.

"The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Connaught Place, making it very convenient to explore the area. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and the metro station within walking distance, which makes getting around Delhi very easy."

Construction/renovations going on (some days loud). There was a huge cockroach in my room. These were both minor inconveniences for me, the rest of the stay was phenomenal.

Couldn't stay longer

"A lovely quiet residential neighbourhood . Lots of birds in the garden . Lovely pool and outdoor seating area. We could walk out of our room to the pool and terrace. Marian looked after us very well ."

It’s a bit way out to get to any bars or restaurants on foot- St.Lawrence Gap, £10 e/w, for amenities. Walk at your peril the roads & drivers are haphazard & it takes a good half hour if you’re relatively fit!
