"Great helpful staff, freshly cleaned room. I arrived earlier than planned and they quickly swept and mopped the room and made up my bed while I waited. Super central location. Showers were hot. Got given a roll of toilet paper on check in which seems like a great solution to previous negative reviews saying toilet paper ran out and wasn't topped up. Great value for money"

There was no common area to hang out in like a lounge or courtyard or kitchen, but even still I made new friends just in my dorm room, in the corridor and in the bathroom while brushing my teeth. Probably not ideal for light sleepers as there is a karaoke bar nearby but I really enjoyed being able to hear all the singing!

"The place was clean and light, though not too busy given the time of year (March). Most impressive was the host who was incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering to help wherever she could. A wonderful addition to my stay in Xingping!"

"The staff were amazing! So friendly, and helpful. There was milk provided for the guests which was a bonus as I always bring tea bags with me, so saved me a walk to the shop. The location was brilliant and the hostel was very clean"

The only issue is that I’ve stayed in similar hostels, but the price was nowhere near as expensive. I know it’s in Zurich, but it’s still a hostel.

"The owner was vey kind. He let us check in early as we took an overnight bus to Siwa. The room was very comfortable and we were able to use the facilities even after check out as we were waiting for our next overnight bus! Thank you for such kind hospitality!"

"I had seen some of the reviews and I was a little worried going in as I have stayed in other hostels by the same company in different locations and they weren't- great. But I was so pleasantly surprised. Friendly and helpful staff, no bugs, clean room, not noisy. I was only staying there for one night but I was so happy, the bed was super comfy (and i was really lucky as nobody else had booked in my room!) Facilities worked great and it was close enough to the German border that I literally walked across!"

There was no soap in the bathroom but I'd seen other reviews saying that so I brought my own 🤷‍♀️ Bit of a trek from the city centre but honestly it was no bother.

The location is nearby the Black Beach, so it can get really windy outside.

"Great place to stay in Noukchott. The place itself is beautiful, and in a nice neighbourhood within walking distance to anything you'd want to see. The bungalows are cosy and comfortable. Great hot showers and good buffet breakfast. Contrary to some other uncharitable reviews, I found the young guys working there to be helpful and pleasant. Sebastien the owner gives great travel advice. 10/10, would repeat!"
