"The room was comfortable and the bed was nice and soft. It's a great place to chill out for a day or two away from all the tourists and you can see a more local side of Aruba. "Stayed here whilst on a cycle tour in the region, on advice of a friend who lives in Bangkok and had stayed here previously. I was not disappointed. Absolutely charming traditional property on the river and run by a couple that clearly take pride in providing hospitality. I loved it here. Having stayed in everything from backpacker places to 5* hotels, this stay will be remembered fondly for a long time. An excellent evening meal was also provided at a fair price (I gave advance warning I'd need to eat when I booked). Highly recommended."

"This is an excellent small guesthouse and the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and Bahir Dar is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa. The hosts, Ashenafi and Habtamu, showed us around and made us feel very welcome."

This is a new guesthouse and they are still getting all the facitilties that a western tourist would expect, but everything important was there including shower, cooking facilities, chairs and tables in the patio and a barbeque!

"Felex, Asinja and the kids were so welcoming! They cook delicious food with local produce. Felex is always up for a chat and coordinating a wonderful community project in the village. It’s a simple room but basic amenities, but a truly unique experience."

Staying in a whole house was great! The location allowed me to spend very quiet and comfortable nights. It was conveniently situated close to the coastal road and within easy walking distance. When I travel to Tonga again, I will definitely choose to stay here! Highly recommend."

"The view was absolutely stunning, and the service was truly excellent — the staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The kitchen was very well-equipped with all the necessary appliances, which made everything so convenient. We also loved the swing and theres free horse riding experience provided. it was such a unique and enjoyable touch."

The only minor downsides were that the jacuzzi water wasn’t hot during our stay, and there were quite a number of bugs at night, so it was a bit difficult to sit outside for long. Overall, though, it was a wonderful experience and we really enjoyed our time there.

"Seneng banget menginap di sini. Unitnya sangat strategis kemanapun, staffnya juga ramah dan sigap dalam melayani tamu. Kalau ke malioboro juga bisa berjalan kaki. Nyari spot kuliner juga mudah"

"Malaki and his family were great hosts! Very helpful and friendly. Sorted out lots of things for us with no fuss, even though we booked last minute and had limited planning. We had some good laughs! Good view of volcano, and hear the rumbling! Simple and authentic ni-Van accommodation."

Malaki still had a few things to finish... eg switching for solar lights and some plumbing... but we were 2nd guests, so it will be more complete for next guests

"The hosts are really helpful and very nice. It is so important to be able to get some help and tips, when you are travelling. What I really liked, was the breakfast, where all guests have the opportunity to meet. All of us really connected well and we had a fabulous old years eve together."
