"The house was quaint, perfectly located in the centre of Bayeux. The shower was excellent! Didier was very helpful. He wanted to meet us but we were delayed and so he left the key in the safe but came the next day to welcome us."

"We loved the quaint old stairs but they wouldn't be great for those with limited mobility."

"The owner was incredible kind and helpful. And this was a perfect place to stay and visit within Bayeaux and to the D-Day beaches. We were also there for the Bayeaux midieval festival which was wonderful!"

"Location was perfect. Along the main street but in a quiet corner. A supermarket and many good eateries around. Tourist information centre is nearby too. Bayeux is compact to walk around with the accommodation in the right spot to do so. Spacious place. One toilet on the first floor. Second toilet and shower area on the second floor. 2nd floor has the living room with a sofa bed to sleep 2 persons. Main bedroom for 3 persons is on 3rd floor. Well stocked kitchen. There was even a shopping trolley for groceries provided. Washing machine available for use too. The owner, Didier, is very friendly and accommodating. He offered to pick us up from the train station when we arrived and even dropped us off at the station when we left. Really appreciate that."

"Main bedroom can be a little stuffy. A fan would help circulate the air especially on rainy nights when we had to shut the windows. The stairs to the floors are narrow. Can be a struggle to take the suitcases up. Shower area only has shower gel. Do bring your own shampoo and hair conditioner."

"This apartment is superb. Didier the owner picked us up at the train station and showed us around Bayeux before dropping us off at the apartment. The location is a short walking distance to shops and the Bayeux tapestry and also to the pickup point for day tours to the D Day sites. The apartment is well equipped and very comfortable. We would love to come back again. Didier very kindly drove us back to the train station when it was time to leave."

"Excellent town house in Bayeux with everything you need for a short or a longer stay. Perfect location two minutes walk from main attractions in Bayeux. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We would love to come back!"

"Bathroom not on same floor as bedroom, we used lounge sofa bed next to bathroom. 2 flights of difficult stairs for older people. Dishwasher didn't clean properly. Some crockery cracked."

"Didier, the host, met us at the train station, drove us around Bayeux to help get our bearings - we were here to attend two DDay80 ceremonies - and then took us to the apartment and showed us where everything was. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, good towels, large bathroom and cloakroom, great size lounge, it felt like home in matter of hours. The apartment is in excellent location for all of Bayeux’s restaurants and tourist attractions but not so close that you are bothered by noise in the evening. There is also a lot of tourist info and books. As other reviewers have said there is a spiral staircase which was fine for us but if you have limited mobility might not be right for you. Didier also helped us when we left Bayeux. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great home base to explore this historic town and wider area"
