"Iconic french grand house. Lovely breakfast room overlooking the canal. Host was sociable. We were impressed by the knowledge of the district. Bedroom accommodation was rather basic but overall our stay was a very enjoyable experience Good value for money"

"Great room with a view. Rohan is a little sleepy and the choice of restaurants are limited. We spent a couple of days cycling along the canal, it's great."

"Le questionnaire que j'ai reçu porte sur Le Grand Hôtel or quand nous sommes arrivés celui-ci était fermé. Mes commentaires vont donc à l'hôtel Les Rivages de Beauval ( ambiance mexicaine) où nous avons été relogés. Très bon petit déjeuner. Le restaurant Yucatan pour le buffet à volonté est correct, même si les chaises manquent de confort. La forme des pieds des tables ne permet pas de se placer agréablement. Le Veracruz sert de bons plats. La chambre est propre, coquette, le ménage très bien fait. Nous n'étions que deux à l'occuper et nous avons trouvé la salle de bain petite. Belle vue sur St Aignan et la rivière. Personnel très accueillant et attentif."

"Good location in lovely rural surroundings. Self catering with basic facilities & lots of utensils for preparing & cooking meals. Plenty of storage space for belongings in bedroom & kitchen. Good bathroom & shower. The pool was very good; would love to have seen it uncovered! Enjoyed the visiting birds & red squirrels."

"Friendly and convenient resort with great little swimming pool, table tennis tables. All incusive food was excellent at every meal. The only downside was that the hotel is ageing and needs some repair work. The wooden balcony outside our flat was literally crumbling away. The flat really needs updating and renovating. But overall our kids liked the resort a lot and it's a great place for a family trip."

"Stunning 300 year old manor house, oak floors, wood panels. Well loved by the owners. Yes a bit tired in some places but so would you be at 300 years old. Good shower, bed was very comfortable. We were with our Border Collie and it was perfect. Beautiful grounds to run our dig, owner loves dogs and we all had breakfast in a beautiful dining room with open fire, lots of choice. Free parking in the grounds, breakfast included and dog friendly + great value."
