"For those not familiar with this part of Paris, the hotel is in an area which typically sees higher crime rates especially at night so just something to be aware of. We were fine but felt slightly on edge leaving to get to Gare du Nord in the dark the next day!"

"This has been my go-to hotel for the last few weeks when I am in Paris. Very comfortable, near Nord and Est stations, and walking distance to Montmartre and Sacre Coeur. Breakfast is delicious, and everything is available. From croissants and various pastries to bread, yogurt, cheese, ham, fruit, marmalades, Müsli, and milk. In my opinion, very complete in comparison to others I have tried in Paris. There is a lovely restaurant in front of the hotel, very convenient when arriving late at night. I have used it only for business trips, but I would book it next time for private trips. The attention is very good, receptionists are friendly and willing to help."

"When choosing the cheapest rate, the room was quite small, but for me it is still okay. And there are other options at higher price if a larger room is needed."

"The hotel was perfectly located for the business meetings I had around PFW. However, I would say that the area is pretty run down so if someone is visiting Paris as a tourist and is a bit nervous of gritty areas, this might not be for them."

"This is not a complaint at all, but my room (#401) was tiny. Two adults with check-in size cases would simply not have room to open their luggage and move around the bed. For a solo traveller like me with just carry-on luggage, it was fine."

"This is my go-to hotel in Paris. Really comfy beds, nice public area (even though it’s small) and for me the location is perfect. Great transport links and just at the bottom of Montmartre. Friendly staff too. I love this hotel."

"Nothing really! Everything was good this stay. I have said this before but the outside location won’t appeal to a lot of people but I always feel very comfortable around Barbes."
