"Marie was so lovely and met us at the door when we arrived. The property is beautiful, and we had a lovely spacious comfy ensuite room. Marie served a lovely breakfast of bread and pastries in the morning. We also got to meet her sweet dog :) Would definitely recommend staying here in the stunning village of Montsoreau. Do a walk around the village (and neighbouring Candes St Martin) as it’s very beautiful. Also would recommend eating at Le Montsorelli which is a 3 min walk from the property. Great food and service!"

"The breakfast was excellent and the location was great (quite literally opposite the Loire River which was 20m away) and parking was easy - right across the road and next to the river. The town (actually large, medieval village, set on the hillside overlooking the Loire River) is just beautiful."

"The place is perfect for a short relaxation break. It is located near to the ideal swimming spots and eateries. This is not a party flat - the location is not suitable for groups, but highly suitable for singles and couples looking for a quiet time. The host is extremely friendly and will help you come to know the area as long as you speak a little French."

"Excellent location for seeing sights, restaurants etc. Though I note previous reviews, it was very clean for us. I went with a friend, just 2 of us. So we had a room each although one was not fully enclosed. Staff gave helpful recommendations on things to do and on this occasion we were able to arrange to drop a small amount of stuff off(but there are left luggage options around town too). Liked being in an old building, as the part of town. Even though only 2 of us, due to location I think value for money was great, possibly because Lyon seems to be underrated as a tourist destination for reasons I do not understand. Food, attractions, condition, history, safety all wonderful."
