"The owner and host met us on arrival. She was charming and explained she and her husband had restored the beautiful old house themselves. The gite was very private and had its own garden. Parking was excellent and we had keys to the small gite complex and the parking area. The kitchen well equipped as was the charming sitting room and beds were comfortable. A few steps took us to the edge of the Sarthe river and 300 meters took us an easy walk into town where we had an excellent dinner at the Terrace restaurant which we would highly recommend. Booking essential. We were at the gite just 2 nights on a slow journey down South and it was an excellent place to stop and recharge. We hope to return another year."
