"La Vallée du Moulin is a very quiet and relaxed property "out in the sticks" close to the small Véronne river which flows northbound to the pleasant twice-a-week market town of Pont Audemer. The surroundings are very green and pastoral. Sandrine who speaks a little English, and Mario who doesn't [well that wasn`t a problem for my travel companion and me], have made a really nice Chambres d'Hôte out of it and Mario, a native Rouennais gentleman, was an excellent host offering a chance to sample locally made organic beer and a choice from his own rum-based range of apéritifs. Very pleasant, worthy, quite simple but filling Table d'Hôte evening meal - NOTE on the night we went it was beef."

"La Vallée du Moulin is down a very narrow single-track, no passing places, country lane. The lane is fine if you are in a standard 1,0 to 2,0-litre family car but it might be a bit intimidating if you are in a big SUV; the lane has occasional clumps of grass-like vegetation growing out in the centre line of the lane (compare similar sorts of country lanes in Devon and Dorset, UK). La Vallée du Moulin lies a few Km north-east of La Noë Poulain, and the country lane forks off the D98 east of the D810 between Pont-Audemer and Lieurey. There are pretty good signposts which Sandrine and Mario have put up at key Y-forks in the country lane BUT it is easy to drive past the opening on to the hard-standing for parking when you first arrive."

"The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and had a wonderful ambience. The hosts were very amenable and the table d'hote was good. Really enjoyed my stay."

"The address shown on the booking.com website was incorrect. We had to drive around for nearly an hour until we could locate the property via another hotel booking site that showed the correct address, Not the result I was looking for having just driven 400 miles. Not Happy!!"

"The room was spacious, clean, quiet and the bed and pillows comfortable. It had a nice garden with nice views and it was easy to take the dogs out for morning and evening walk since there are nearby paths."

"Since we were paying for our dogs as well accommodation it would have been nice to have had at least two dog bowls. Breakfast could have included more options. Also, dinner had to be paid in cash- luckily we had enough!"

"Wifi needs sorting. You have to ask the host to bring you a router. I suggest they invest in a mesh system. Kettle was a little awkward to use because of space."

"The location is just absolutely beautiful! In the middle of nowhere and still so close to a lot of must sees. The owner a great woman, happy to have stayed with her, in a comfortable room and bed with a great matress."

"Relax in campagna con due proprietari meravigliosi. È stato come andare a trovare gli zii. La cosa più bella è la cena con loro! Abbiamo alloggiato qua per visitare Honfleur, Etretat e Dueville. Stanza comoda, pulita e spaziosa."

"Das Chambre d’hôtes mit 5 Zimmern ist sehr ruhig einzeln gelegen aber nicht allzuweit von den Autobahnen A13 und A28 entfernt. Die Gastgeber haben das typisch normannische Fachwerkanwesen sehr schön und gemütlich renoviert. Auf dem netten Innenhof konnten wir günstig einen Aperitif und ein Abendessen an einer langen Tafel zusammen mit den anderen Gästen einnehmen, wobei nette Gespräche aufkamen (von denen ich leider nur 20% verstehen konnte, aber das ist mein Problem, da ich kaum Französisch kann). Das gemeinsame Frühstück gab es aufgrund der Temperaturen im Wohnzimmer des Gastgebers wieder an einer langen Tafel mit hausgemachtem Fruchtaufstrich und ein paar Leckereien. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich."

"Wir hatten das graue Zimmer, das leider auch grau gestrichene Fliesen im Bad hat. Grau ist leider immer noch in Mode, macht mir persönlich aber keine gute Laune. Die anderen Zimmer haben ebenfalls Farbnamen, vermutlich ist es dort anders."
