"Alfonso and Marie are charming hosts who clearly want their guests to share the enjoyment of their lovingly renovated farmhouse surrounded by fruit trees and vines. Parking within gated grounds. Great communications prior to and during stay. Airy dual aspect tastefully decorated bedroom with comfortable (firm) bed, quality linen and towels, super shower and kettle with tea/coffee. Being out of season we couldn’t make use of the outdoor summer kitchen but we were kindly offered an alternative space to enjoy our own picnic meal. Lovely breakfast (fruit, yoghurt, pastries with homemade jams and cake) served to the sound of birdsong. Ideal location to explore the local and wider wine regions by car (Maison des Vin de Fronsac 10 min, Saint Emilion 25 min and Entre-Deux-Mers 30 min) or to walk 10 min for a wine tour and tasting at Château de La Rivière. Worth basing here for more than one night, especially once the pool and outdoor kitchen open for summer!"

"Der Vermieter und seine Frau umsorgten uns wie gute Freunde, gerne hätten wir auch ein paar Tage mehr dort zugebracht. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und entsprach uns sehr, insbesondere die umfangreiche Bibliothek, in die ich mich an einem Regentag sicher hineingelesen hätte. Die winterliche Jahreszeit hielt uns leider davon ab, den Garten zu nutzen. Alfonsos Tip zum Abendessen in Libourne erfüllte alle unsere Erwartungen."
