La Solitaire

"The accommodation is very large & spacious. We appreciated the large bedrooms, very clean & newly renovated bathrooms, very well equipped kitchen, the washing machine. The pool was sparkling clean. Onsite parking. The friendly hosts. The history of this home - it’s been owned/lived in for 3 generations. Above all though, is the exquisite location of the home in Lioux - some of the most truly beautiful scenery in all of southern France - surrounded by vineyards. So many wonderful walks can be done here or cycling. Many other gorgeous, tiny, hilltop historical villages are within the shortest of distances away - each with their own unique character & many market days to be had nearby too. This is a place we dream of returning to again."

"The location was fine but we had not realised that the resort closed at the end of the month of August. The owner told us about the supermarket and a lovely restaurant which was open for the first two days we were there. The "cyclists" bar was open every day which was very lucky. We tended to go down to Bourg d'Oisans during the day as shops, restaurants were open. The apartment was very nice and very clean and had a good dishwasher which we used two or three times. Great TV on wall which also had a projector. he owner sent us an email with lots of information a few days before our arrival. I missed it to begin with and he had explained about closures. I think it would have been too late to cancel as payment made however we enjoyed our time there and stayed an extra night."

"The apartment is situated within walking distance of the town and the Chateau. There is a very good bakery nearby and a good selection of restaurants. The apartment has views over the river. Inside there is a small kitchen with tea and coffee. The fridge is small but has a freezer section. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom has a good shower with shower gel etc."

"L'appartement est spacieux, lumineux et très bien équipé. Idéal pour ceux qui recherchent un endroit calme pour se reposer. Tout était en parfait état et l'emplacement est excellent. Je recommande vivement !"
