Hôtel de l'Océan

"Location just is the best. Nice view to Old harbor from the room. A lot of cafe and restaurants around. Room is unusually big for this price."

"I have issues with internet."

"A fully equipped and beautifully decorated apartment — so cozy and comfortable! The supermarket and bus station are both nearby, making it very convenient. Most importantly, Jesper’s kindness truly warmed our hearts. We stayed here for three nights and had such a wonderful time. Thx 👍👍"

"The location was excellent. The room was more than adequate, with double shutters on the windows; any street noise is eliminated. Linen change service as needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and crisp white-lined. Jean Baptiste, on reception, was extremely helpful, as was the hotel owner, Sandrine."

"Can't think of anything"

"The bedroom was good size. Cleanliness was good . Host was very friendly."

"There was no foyer to relax."

"The location was superb. The rooms were large and very clean. Breakfast was offered for a small supplement. And our host offered us daily suggestions to visit - which was nice too."

"Nothing for us, but if you can’t downstairs, then this isn’t the place for you."

"We loved the friendly staff, excellent location, comfortable beds and recently renovated bathrooms. We had back courtyard facing rooms which were very quiet despite the hotel being right in the middle of a very busy restaurant and shopping strip in the old port. We would definitely stay at this very affordable hotel again. We also appreciated the great tips from staff for eating and drinking in La Rochelle."

"The staff and location were fabulous..very helpful and room clean"

"Breakfast bit one dimensional. Realise for the price couldn't expect a lot but a little more variety perhaps"

"Wonderful location. The room was just as promised - looking out over the harbour and the fort."

"It's about for storeys up to our room. But that's fine. Maybe not so good for older guests."

"The room was nice and cool, the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location and still manages to remain quiet"
