"Beautiful historic building inside the city walls. Very comfortable suite, beautifully decorated."
"The room was not properly prepared on arrival. There were used towels on the bathroom floor and no mugs or coffee cups. No apology from the staff when I rang to let them know, or when we were asked on leaving ‘how was your stay’ and I explained again."

"Beautiful, charming hotel in a great position. Loved the outdoor eating area under a large ancient tree."
"The restaurant was closed for renovation during our stay. The air conditioning broke down. The shower was broken and the safe in the room was broken and would not lock. However , the staff allowed us to use an adjoining room till these were fixed. While it is an extra expense per night to stay it is worth it."

"The Hotel d'Europe exudes understated class in all respects. It has real character that cannot be found in functional modern hotels. The staff are all very friendly and proficient and the food in La Vieille Fontaine restaurant is exceptional. The hotel is maintained at an incredibly high level - try finding even minor blemishes in the paintwork. In addition the location is perfect as one has easy access to the river and to the Place de l'Horloge, Palais des Papes and other main sites. ."
