"Perfecte locatie voor de doorreis. Appartement is goed te vinden, de ontvangst is vriendelijk. Onderweg hebben we contact gehad via booking.com over onze aankomsttijd. Het appartement is meer dan goed. We hebben in de avond boodschappen gedaan zodat we zelf konden koken. Lekker op het eigen terras zitten eten. de kinderen hebben nog even gevoetbald en we hebben daarna heerlijk geslapen. Vooraf de uitchecktijd besproken. Als we weer richting Spanje reizen gaan we zeker weer hier boeken!"

"The breakfast was wonderful. Traditional French; everything home produced (apart from the bread). Charming hosts; a shame we couldn't stay longer than 30 hours enroute to Le Shuttle. Amazing property in a beautiful situation."

"The view and location truly is stunning and you really feel that you are in another world. So many beautiful walks and bike rides down in the valley and up into the foothills, surrounded by so much history from stoneage times to the Cathars. Lots of local food and wine culture too with so much choice but especially from our hosts...don't miss their wine tour of Domaine Fontanel as they have an exceptional range of wines....rivesaltes, white, rosé and of course the stunning reds. The Lodge Escala has everything you need and then within a 30 minute drive you can be swimming in the Mediterranean Sea in one direction or soaking up the mountainous chateaus in another. A perfect get away from it all holiday."

"Le gite était plus grand que ce qu'on pensait. Nous n'avons pas utilisé toutes les pièces. La pièce cuisine, salon, salle à manger est une belle pièce de vie. C'est hyper propre. Comme le gite est en lien avec l'hôtel à coté, il y a toujours quelqu'un de disponible si besoin. Les personnes sont très gentilles."

"Jo and Brian were so friendly and welcoming, full of local tips on things to see and do. Great with our kids (5 and 8), who especially loved the ride on the lawn mower! The accommodation was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Peaceful setting with lovely countryside views — WiFi was handy for the kids but we didn’t even miss having a TV. A really lovely family stay."

"The location on the outskirts of Martel in a tranquil and rural location suited us perfectly (about 15 minutes walk into the centre). The accommodation was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, modern and comfortable and we were able to enjoy the pool on our return from walks in the surrounding countryside. We had a very relaxing stay in what was probably the nicest gite we have stayed in during many visits to France. We were struck by the beautiful rolling countryside and well marked footpaths, unspoiled medieval towns and villages with relatively few tourists compared to elswhere."
