"Location is perfect . Hotel with character with very nice vibe. A really nice old fashion lift ... may not please everyone but it is part of hotel charm."

"Room we stayed in (503) has a really bad positioned toilet.... away from the wall by about 20cm... which leave just about 20 cm in front of the loo. The plumber was obviously not bothered to reroute the plumbing !... If you are of a big stature then you will have some problems to use that loo ."

"Staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more varied than we expected, was served for several hours and was good value. We had booked twin rooms which have bathtubs not showers, but two of the three had fixed showers over the bath per our request. we were also able to request kettles for in-room drinks. Location was excellent - 10 mins from the station and from the old city. Beds were comfortable and we could open the windows which we like. We had views over the church opposite. The bathrooms were snug, but in an older building in an old city thats not surprising. We really enjoyed our stay and the value-for-money was appreciated."

"It would be better if all twin rooms have fixed showers over the bathtub but it didn't really matter. Doubles and singles do have walk in showers, but we needed the twins. It was occasionally noisy in the evening, but we chose to open our windows and we were in the middle of a major city so what we would expect. With the windows and shutters closed it was fine. Really nothing I would criticise and I'd go back."

"Hotel Brueghel is a fascinating building. Antiques everywhere and all facilities are modern and the kept to the period. Views are stunning. Loved the lift. Staff lovely, friendly. Very pet friendly 🐾"

"Slight setback as the hotel does not have parking. There are several parking areas around the area. Look on maps. Not too expensive for overnight parking. Indigo seem to dominate the parking, not a very high standard as far as reaching your car. Needs a complete update/returb but this does not have a negative on the hotel."
