"As per our previous night review, our stay was superb. Our host, Julien, was friendly and endlessly helpful. The evening meals he cooked were beautiful and better than most expensive restaurants, but at hostel prices! Secure bike storage is available. The bedroom was really comfortable and the kitchen/dining/lounge area was inviting. This is an amazing historic house in a historic town. Julien, thank you for your hospitality and a lovely stay. See you again."

"We had a great stay here, hostel is located in an interesting old building with high walls, decor is nice. The bed was comfy and everything was clean. The host coocked us a great diner, the breakfast was ok. We would definetly stay here again! Also great value for money."

"The hostel is in a converted medieval building in a quiet side street. The large communal lounge & kitchen is modern and comfortable. Julien the host offers meals some evenings- a nice way to meet other guests.There is secure bike storage in the garage. We were in the largest room - simple but pleasantly decorated. Julien was a friendly & helpful host. Clothes washing facilities available."

"First of all the host is exceptional. He responded quickly to messages, and expressed concern when I was late for my check in (I had bike troubles). He had a menu waiting at the front door and prepared my dinner while I showered and unpacked. To walk into a gently lit kitchen & dining area and receive the smell of dinner cooking for you after cycling for 8 hours is amazing. Other guests were playing scrabble and relaxing on the lounge. For €5 he also packed my lunch for next days riding."

"Gorgeous old building in the centre of La Réole. The rooms were really comfortable & clean. We had a double for us & a twin for the kids which were both in a self contained space with shower & toilet: perfect. The common space was really lovely & there were loads of books & games so we spent a relaxing afternoon & evening after a day cycling in the rain! Julien was very chilled & helpful. It was possible to get some laundry done and we used the very well equipped kitchen to cook dinner. It’s possible to buy drinks too. Beds were comfortable and we had a good night’s sleep. Self service breakfast was copious & convenient. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at this hostel!"

"I arrived later than planned as my luggage did not show up on arrival. My host offered to drive me to a store the next day so I could buy replacement hiking clothing and kit! So welcoming!!"
