Due to the difficulty of getting somewhat larger amounts of money from the ATM in Mek'ele, we asked the hosts for the possibility of an online payment, not according to the initial agreement. They were completely open to it and helped us out! Chris and Saba, thank you for the stay at your wonderful home! Kirsten & Sander"

"The nicest place we stayed in Ethiopia, very comfortable and beautiful house designed by the owner Chris. Chris and Saba are very welcoming and excellent hosts, they even shared their dinner with us on the night of our stay when we were too tired to go out. Breakfast was delicious, we were given fresh juice and bread. Warm shower (can be rare in Ethiopia!) and all amenities available. Very walkable distance to everything in Mekele, a perfect place to stay!"

"I liked everything. The communication was spotless, the room is nice, plus I was lucky enough to be invited to celebrate family Christmas together. Traveling by myself in Ethiopia, I thought that was a very special and lucky experience. Chris and Saba were the best. They also will give you a lot of information on local spots, history and whereabouts."

"Chris and Saba's home is lovely, we were so comfortable during our brief stay. Chris's garden is beautiful respite from the bustle of Mekele, and both he and Saba were a wealth of knowledge for trip planning. The local honey and fresh guava smoothie at breakfast were an extra treat."
