Rosie's friendly and helpful host arranged for me to take a guide to the crater of the Fogo volcano. After climbing, Rosie gave me a delicious lunch. The stunning sunset and sunrise in this amazing place will forever remain in my memory! There are many hiking trails inside the caldera itself, it was safe to stay for another day."

"Location next to the beach. Good supermarket nearby. Good wifi. Clean. Well-equipped apartment. Spacious. Electric kettle to make tea or coffee. Responsive host."
"We were met by Lieve at the Ferry Terminal, she arranged a rental car and guided us to the villa (10 minutes from the Ferry Terminal). Lieve and Geert went out of there way to make our stay as comfortable as possibe. The Villa has been built by them with an eye for detail. The villa is very spacious, 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a toilet/bath room, in two of these rooms next to the double beds bunkbeds for two kids. In living room an additional seperate toilet on top. Also a spacious kitchen with everything you need. The swimming pool is covered every evening so it stays warm (28 Celsius). Very important in winter months, we were at some other places where swimming was only for the brave (24 C) or even unbarable (20 C)."

"We loved the location right at the bay with a nice balcony to observe the daily live. You can sit there for hours and not get bored. Our host was a very nice guy who takes good care of his guests. He also arranged a good rental car to explore the island as he had a car rental business too so that is pretty convenient. Sao Nicolau is a fantastic place to visit, the locals are extremely friendly."
