"I would have liked the room to be refreshed daily. With the sand tracking in daily. And getting new towels at least after the second day but it was written in a request sheet they do after 3 day stays and we were only there 3 days"

"Perfect location, by the sea, on the main walkway that takes you around placencia front where all the shops and bars / restaurants are. The property is clean, fresh and perfect size for your stay. The lady who was working on site possibly the owner was lovely! Really nice lady."

"The location was great and the value was comparatively good."

"Staff was grumpy when I checked in, and while they had told us construction was happening between 10 and 5 pm, but we were awakened by saws and loud powerwashing before 8 am that continued until we left at 10. Property was clean but very sparse."

"Construction going on which really did not bother us they are working on fixing it up . It could use better secured doors and maybe some outside chairs to sit in."

"Shaka Caye is one of those rare gems of down-to-earth calm, where the staff know your name on the first day and go out of their way to make your stay special. The activities menu is extensive - and each excursion makes for lifelong memories. Each staff member is more like a friend showing you around their home rather than an employee. The food is simply delicious. Very highly recommended for a family trip to experience Belize’s wondrous natural beauty."

"Great hotel, just what we needed for a night before heading to the islands. Very friendly staff, and felt very relaxed. The rooms were basic and comfortable, good air con! There was coffee, water and bananas available for snacks. Very well located for cafes / docks / bus station (we walked from there to the hotel) / airport would be a few minutes by taxi. We’d stay again."

"Location was great, needed a golf car to get around but that's fine and part of the fun. On the beach with terrific views, very lush tropical setting made it seem very private. The suite was really well stocked and comfortable, clean and modern. Great for a night in if you want, had all cooking items you would ever want, blender for cocktails and lovely outside our area. Pool area was really lovely, the dock was awesome for an evening drink. Staff were great, shout out to winston. The suites were spaced out just right for privacy , but could socialize if you wanted. Plenty of supermarkets nearby in easy walk ( 2 mins max)."

"The resort is absolutely beautiful with a stunning out look over the ocean and most of the common being located around the pool area which is massive. There are numerous sections to the pool to cater for different needs. The highlight for us was the undercover heated section around the swim up bar which was perfect for happy hour in the rain. The staff are very friendly and helpful and are prompt at dealing with any situation. We had a look around at some other resorts and felt that Coco Beach (although a fair way out of town), is by far the most beautiful."

"We liked the quietness of the resort and the staff were amazing!!! The staff helped us with renting a golf cart and booking our flights to the island. The pools were quiet. Our room was facing the sea and it was beautiful to sit out on our balcony. The food in the restaurant was delicious!!! To be able to see stingrays and fish right on the beach was also pretty cool. We had a golf cart which is important as we got to see more places and beaches."
