Safe area protected by police and some military because of embassies in the neighborhood. There's a restaurant but it was closed during my stay. Good Italian and Thai restaurant at walking distance."

You need a short walk to get transport but still a great place to stay, in the middle of Cotonou. Huge room! Wide, tall ceiling, large bathroom with bathtub and shower. Good restaurant: affordable, quality food, no stomach issues. Security 24/7, and bar open until late. Very good wifi. Very accommodating overall. The staff really are super helpful and caring. Breakfast was really good! Coffee, pastries, omelette, pineapple juice, fresh cut fruit..."

It's a little far from the more lively parts of the city, but mototaxis are cheap and always on call near the hotel. I enjoyed my stay at L'Address and would return."

"This is a comfortable boutique hotel of just 5 rooms, yet includes a full dining room, a bar and a small refreshing swimming pool. The rooms are very large with AC, hot water, mini fridge and large cabinets. Breakfast was adequate and enjoyable near the pool. The staff made the stay even better, particularly Mimi who is so incredibly helpful and communicative in English - such a pleasure to talk with! The neighborhood is particularly safe, even for walking alone at night, because of several sensitive buildings there. Police is everywhere. High value for money, you won't regret it."

"Trying to protect the area, Police places permanent road blocks which makes access harder for cars and zem, unless you know exactly how to navigate the maze. If you don't, just walk the 400m to the French embassy at the main street Jean Paul II to catch your ride."
