"The hosts were extremely friendly, caring and welcoming and as a lone female traveller, I really appreciated this as I was instantly put at ease. The place was basic but comfortable, and had all the required necessities. For me it was very much a base for visiting family and for that it was perfect. It's about a 30 mins walk to Oistins fish fry, 20 mins to a local supermarket and where you can catch a bus to Bridgetown and Carlisle bay etc."

"On arrival collis and his wife greeted me showed me around we had a nice chat then they left me to settle in most lovely couple the room I stayed in is for a single traveller only comfortable and cosy ."

"Col and Jazz are very approachable and felt like family after my 8 day stay - they had tips and hints for the locations over the island that I was interested in visiting. The room had great AC and had everything I needed"

"The place was impeccable, everything looked brand new. The kitchen had everything you can need in a vacation to cook breakfasts and even simple dinners The bathroom was perfectly clean and body wash was supplied AA worked perfectly, all windows with screens A line to dry out the bathing suits and towels The owners were specially kind, helpful and always there to drive you whatever you wanted to go Walking distance to the beaches and a little store to buy groceries"

"The communication from Kadesha was fast and reliable. The check-in experience was smooth. She was kind enough to allow an earlier check-in and when our flight was moved, she granted us a later check out time (with a small fee of course). She answered all our many questions with grace and kindness and even took us to to the local supermarket and mall. The property is exactly as listed and she is very proactive in pre-empting the needs of her guests. She had a map of hotspot locations and places of interest, she had sunscreens available, insect repellent, reliable WiFi, suitable crockery, functional washing machine and ample garden size for children to entertain themselves in. Neighbour in front and to the side so you will hear occasional barking but it's not loud enough to disturb sleep. If you want an authentic place to stay, that is safe, close to good transport links, quiet but not eerily so, then this is the place. Kadesha we will be back!"

"We had such a wonderful time at this place! It truly had the vibe of a home away from home. Falling asleep to the sound of birds and being surrounded by a garden was pure calmness. We loved relaxing with the door open and listening to the sounds of nature. You’re already awake and getting ready to enjoy the gorgeous paradise beach, which you can reach in just a 10-minute drive with golden sand and crystal-clear waters. The person who welcomes you is the most important part of the experience and Kelvin was more than helpful with everything! Creative, always quick to respond, happy to help with any questions and with such a lovely human vibe. You can really feel this energy in the way the place is created. The house has character and that is so important. We stayed for one week and ended up extending our stay! Keep creating and preserving this authentic local style with such warm hospitality."

"Our 2nd stay at ShkyBlue (we topped and tailed our trip to Grenada with a couple of days in Barbados) and this time we had a superior room with a balcony where you could sit and see the sea. The room is spacious with a TV, fridge, kettle and a nice walk in shower room. The hostess Shane was there to greet us when we arrived and makes sure there are thoughtful touches in the room like some bottled water in the fridge, beach towels, hairdryer and if you've forgotten something just ask she can usually help you out. A massive plus was being able to store our bags and have a freshen up there after we checked out which meant we could spend our last day at the beach before our late night flight. Shane and her lovely dog Jax made us feel right at home, there's a nice little garden area with herbs and plants growing and even gave us some cooking ingredients to take home as we really love Caribbean food. We're glad we chose to stay at ShkyBlue on our return leg."
